It has been my pleasure to serve as President of the CyberXR Coalition since its official inception nearly two years ago. I’ve had the unique opportunity to be at the helm of global efforts that led the narrative and shifted the awareness and impact of diversity and inclusion in the cybersecurity and XR ecosystems.
At this juncture, I am seizing the fantastic opportunity to further expand my level of advocacy by running for political office as a Board of Education candidate in my district. As an educator, there is no other capacity as important to me than ensuring diverse representation at an executive level for historically marginalized populations, especially in the education sector.
That said, I will continue to serve in my role as Global Diversity & Inclusion Advisor and Board Member on the XR Safety Initiative (XRSI) as a staunch champion for helping build safe and inclusive emergent technologies.
As the CyberXR Coalition moves forward, I am proud to pass the mantle to a dearly revered and esteemed peer, Noble Ackerson. I firmly believe that with his laser focus vision and unparalleled commitment, he will take the mission of the CyberXR Coalition to the next level. Coupled with much conviction and dire dialogue that’ll be timely, thought-provoking, and game-changing.
As it should be.
Sincerely,
April Boyd-Noronha
